Typical NY State camping ground. The best part is that it's located next to the beach. The beach hiking trail is a nice experience as the cliff trail overlooks the beach.
Beautiful park. Managed to get some great shots at sunset. Since I went in late September, it was not crowded.
Amazing spot!!! The beach is accessible at night so you can star gaze to your heart's content with the waves lapping at the shore. The bathhouse was clean and large enough to accommodate all the campers. The camp store is well stocked, in case you forget anything!
There is a large area to picnic and BBQ.
Campgrounds: It's a bit noisy during the summer. But there is plenty of room between campsites for privacy. The facilities are clean as you would expect for State facility.
Trail: The first part of trail overlooking the beach and ocean is surreal. After the first Mile or so it becomes a carraige road.
This park offers plenty of amenities, including both tent and RV camping, beach access, several hiking trails, a large picnic area with grills, and fields for baseball, volleyball, basketball, and horseshoes. The park is well maintained, as bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and garbage is collected daily, and landscaping is performed continually. Additionally, the office staff is friendly and knowledgable and can be relied upon to answer any number of questions relating to the park and provide assistance when asked. Overall, I would recommend this park to families looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon or to any fan of nature and the outdoors.
Beautiful place for camping and fishing. Gets four out of five stars because they don't allow dogs.
