Staff is completely unprofessional. They lost my package and rather than offer to help, Debra McDowell, aka Lily pad, was quick to say it was my fault for waiting until the last minute to order my goods and services from a vendor that shipped via USPS. Not only was she out of line and utterly rude, she continued to put blame on me rather than admit they are at fault. She yelled that "priority mail is not guaranteed!" Well then why is it called "Priority" Debra? Isn't it at the very least guaranteed to reach it's destination, or is that wishful thinking? Getting my package on a specific day was not the issue at hand, simply getting my package is. Especially when tracking has listed the package as ready for pickup for two days now.
I generally visit the Rocky Point or Shoreham post offices and the people there are helpful friendly and courteous. Went into the Wading River office for the first time today and was shocked at how unfriendly rude and unhelpful they were. One woman named Sarah actually seemed to enjoy being nasty. If these were employees of a private sector organization they would have been fired long ago. I wish I knew who the postmaster of this location was or how to lodge an official complaint.
It can take up to 2 weeks to get your mail. They really are snail mail.
Would love to see an episode of Undercover Boss done here - but going forward I will be happy to go back to Shoreham PO or anywhere else.
They're constantly losing packages and mail.
THIS USPS SUCKS. Constantly missing delivery dates, delivering and recieving packages and mail to and from WRONG addresses, leaving "attempted delivery" notices claiming its "left in the mailbox" or "on your door" when no slips are ever left or found. If I had a choice I would avoid this place and ship with UPS 100% of the time. This place is a HUGE annoyance, all the time.
